We work in association with a number of specialists and enthusiasts towards CREATING SUSTAINABLE SOLITIONS and EMPOWERING LOCAL INITATIVES in Africa. We are not agents- we develop our own volunteer projects, all of which work towards the upliftment and preservation of what lies closest to our hearts- African Heritage. We are represented by agents worldwide and our team continues to grow with the addition of dedicated international and local volunteers.
Conservation Edge aims to assist valid, scientifically based, conservation efforts and research in Africa. We believe that an educated community is one that recognizes the ecological potential of natural areas and the benefits of their preservation. We strive to involve communities and support local initiatives in all of our projects.
Our team includes dedicated researchers, wildlife cameramen, conservationists, local community leaders, game guides and dedicated admin staff. We are represented by agents worldwide and our team continues to grow with the addition of dedicated international and local volunteers.
We believe in a holistic approach to conservation practices. Previously the majority of funding, attention and protection was directed at large, charismatic species. Only recently is this situation changing with the realisation that all species have a part to play in our natural systems. Through our tree frog we hope to bring attention to the less well known species in Africa who are just as fascinating and deserving of protection.
FYI amphibians are incredibly sensitive to changes in their environment. Currently there is a dramatic decline in certain species world wide.
